Pastor Michelle writes: "As I walk into the confines of jails and prisons, I feel the hopelessness these men and women live with day in and day out. They have sinned and fallen short, just as I too had sinned and fallen short of what my heavenly Father planned for me.They feel as if their future has been destroyed by the deeds of their past. My heart breaks for them, and yet it is encouraged. It is encouraged with the knowledge that I bring with me the Hope Giver, the One who promises them hope and a future.

One evening while I was in prayer, the Lord showed me a picture of a pair of hands bound with handcuffs. As these hands began to lift in praise, the bands were broken and they were free to praise their Heavenly Father. It was at this point that the Lord began to speak to my heart about "Freedom Within Ministries". Not only can these men and women experience freedom within the confines of their captivity, they can share this freedom within to all those who are held captive as well".
